Introducing Flickstree - World's Largest Content Aggregation and Distribution Platform

What is Flickstree

Flickstree is world's largest content aggregation and distribution platform powered by artificial intelligence. The platform aggregates distribute and stream short format regional video content on third party platforms that includes internet companies, OEM phone brands, Publishers and telecom operators globally.

Souring of Content

Flickstree compiles free to watch online videos from Social Networks, Blogs, Media Companies, UGC (User Generated Content) and via partnerships with content creators including its own in-house production facility. Its self-serving B2B platform empowers content creators to upload their videos for distribution and monetization. Every content is handpicked and goes through rigorous quality process before it goes live with publishing partners and thus ensures curated content and brand safety element.

Serving of Content

Flickstree deploys deep learning tool to identify user's choice, interest, other behavioral pattern and embed customized videos with their publishing partners based on popularity of content, its engagement metrics and other important parameters.

The Role of Flickstree into the Digital Eco-System

A.    For Publishers

Major internet companies, OEM phone brands, Publishers, Telecom Operators don't have video content for their customers. Most of these entities find it difficult to acquire content of their choice in their own technical stack. Further, Content Creation, its hosting, curation and personalization capabilities are economically not feasible in their current business model and that's where Flickstree comes in picture. It creates and aggregate high-quality engaging video content. With multiple patents pending, Flickstree’s content curation engine, powered by artificial intelligence watches videos in-screen like human beings and generate keywords for each video and gathers only tending and viral videos. This helps publishers to get best videos from multiple platforms with due personalization.

Today top OEM mobile companies and like Xiaomi, Samsung, Gionee and may more rely on Flickstree for videos, that are ready, brand safe and compliant with google play policies.

A.    For Content Owners/Creators

Many content creators in India do not have direct access to large app/web publishers, the tech to meet publisher’s requirement, hosting solutions or for that matter enough content bank to be attractive to a publisher. Here Flickstree stands as a bridge – as a content distribution company. The creators upload their video content on their B2B platform and in turn Flickstree distribute their content to third party platforms reach maximisation and monetization.

B.    For Brands

While doing so, it also opens windows for brands to sponsor these short format video contents in the form of running pre-mid roll ads, brand plug-ins, presenting sponsorships and many more. For brands it becomes wonderful opportunity to convey brand message to the targeted user base without incurring huge cost in creation and distribution of the content. As far as targeting parameters are concerned, brand can target users based on geography, handset, telecom operator, content affinity, user behaviour and other important parameters. Currently Flickstree is delivering content to more than 50 million active users in India every month through its deep integration with publishing partners.

C.    For Users

From user’s perspective, content search is painful, especially on mobil devises. There are set of users who find it difficult to type and search on the English keypads. Further deciding what to search and watch is problem for such users – They do not prefer Youtube or Facebook because they do not know what to search and how to search there. They would want content to come to them rather than they going to the content.

Flickstree attempt to target these non-Youtube and Facebook users via non-serious short format content, in their regional languages (currently 4 languages are served – Hindi, Tamil, Telgu and English). The interface is 100% visual to avoid any search, with content loaded in 30+ premium video categories and available in horizontal and vertical format. Its deep learning capability identifies the user’s interest and choice and serves content in their regional language based on the location, device, behavioural pattern and other demographic parameters.

Current Market Scenario and Challenge

Currently there are more than 450 million smartphone users in India (growing at 15% CAGR) who have mobile data but only 220 million users are consuming videos on platform like Youtube and Facebook. There is a huge gap of 230 million users who do not consume video content online owing to few critical reasons that I have mentioned above.

And the Opportunity

Now the opportunity and challenge are to make this set of 230 million uses a video friendly, by serving the content of their interest and in their native language. The opportunity is to make the content discovery simpler and effective.

Further, the free to watch video space is extremely fragmented, with multiple players creating tons of video content daily. These videos are published exclusively on separate platforms – a user who has interest in several categories cannot install multiple apps and keep browsing them separately, also owing to the limited phone storage. This leads to poor discovery. Flickstree is trying to solve this problem by aggregating most popular short format videos at one common place and then distributing it to various platforms based on logical parameters.

What is TRP & GRP in Television Advertising ...

Television holds the title of the largest mass medium for advertising for more than 60 years now and that designation has not been overtaken even after the entry and growth of internet medium. It is an imperative and consequential component of media planning because of its pervasiveness, impact, mass reach and targeting abilities. Albeit the world has come a long way in going digital, Television advertising still plays a paramount role when it comes to marketing products and services. Television has the properties of sight, sound, and motion that traditionally set it apart from other media such as radio or print. With its three-pronged assault on its viewers’ senses, TV is able to create broad awareness for a product or services.  So before we move ahead, let’s address a common and recent misconception that internet is replacing TV viewing. The entry of Netflix, Amazon, ALT Balaji, Viu, youtube etc. it has become a hot topic to anticipate the inevitable decay and demise of televi

How Blockchain can change India’s entertainment industry

Digital technologies have played a big role in transforming the way content is produced and distributed in the entertainment industry over the past few years. Despite the many advancements, some challenges remain. The issues of revenue leakages, rights/ license management across locations, censorship and monopolistic distribution practices still exist and, in some cases, have grown. For instance, the Indian film industry, the world’s largest by a number of films produced, loses close to Rs 18,000 crore in piracy and less than half of the movies produced get a chance to reach the audience. The existing technology and infrastructure have robbed the music industry as well to the extent of about INR 6500 crore in revenue every year. In 2017, pirated music was downloaded nine billion times. The few of major hurdles that the Indian entertainment industry currently facing is the 1) Issue of funding and 2) The current distribution model. Many independent artists, actor

Basic Formulas : Digital / Internet Advertising

Mathematics is everywhere. Let it be a school life or our professional life. So, let’s try to understand the application of mathematics in internet world. What is CPM? The term CPM stands for Cost Per Mile which means cost per 1000. Its one of the most popular and used term in internet advertising space. This is the cost which advertiser pay to agency or publisher for publishing/serving 1000 impressions. Let’s take an example to understand it better. Example: Let’s assume that “Cadbury” wanted to run banner ad at CPM of INR 350 and wanted to serve 350000 impressions during the month time. What will be the total cost of client for this campaign? Total Cost to Cadbury = CPM X (Impressions)/1.000) So, Cost to advertiser will be = 350 X (3,50,000/1,000) Total cost to advertiser will be = INR 1,22,500 Let’s have a quiz here…what will you find out CPM if impression and cost is given: CPM = Cost to advertiser X 1000/Impressio
