An online advertising network or ad network is a company that connects advertisers to websites that want to host advertisements. The key function of an ad network is an aggregation of ad supply from publishers and matching it with advertiser's demand. An ad network is essentially a middleman; it connects advertisers to websites that host advertisements. Ad networks are beneficial for all three parties involved; the advertiser pays a certain amount each time their ad is clicked by a potential customer (or a set amount for every 1,000 impressions), while the network and publisher each take a percentage. For example, if an advertiser pays INR 5 per click, every time the ad is clicked, the publisher might get INR 3 and the network INR 2.
